Eco Chic: Water Conservation Report
Hey there, Jungle Betty tribe!
Water conservation is more urgent than ever due to our growing environmental challenges. At Jungle Betty, we take pride in leading the charge towards sustainability and eco-friendly beauty. One of the ways we excel is through our innovative waterless manicure and pedicure services. These treatments not only reduce water usage but also improve hygiene and extend the longevity of your nail care. Let’s dive into how we’re making a difference and the incredible environmental benefits we’re achieving together.
Why Go Waterless?
Our waterless treatments significantly reduce water use. Traditional pedicures can use up to 8.5+ liters of water per session, and manicures use around 0.5+ liters. By going waterless, we’re saving thousands of liters annually!
But it’s not just about water savings. Waterless nail care improves hygiene, preventing bacterial and fungal infections. Without water, there’s no swelling or contraction of your nails, making your polish last longer. Plus, with less equipment and clean-up, your experience is smoother and more enjoyable. Waterless treatments truly embody sustainable beauty and are the epitome of eco chic!
Enhanced Hygiene Practices
One of the standout benefits of waterless treatments is enhanced hygiene. Traditional methods involve soaking in communal water basins, which can harbor bacteria. Our waterless services eliminate this risk entirely.
At Jungle Betty, we use sterilized tools and single-use products to ensure top-notch cleanliness. This not only sets a benchmark in the industry but also gives you peace of mind knowing your nail care is as safe as possible. Without water, the risk of cross-contamination is removed, ensuring a safe and hygienic nail care experience every time.
Longer-Lasting Results
Waterless manicures and pedicures also offer longer-lasting results. Traditional treatments can cause nail swelling and chipping due to water exposure. By going waterless, we help prevent chipping and extend the longevity of your polish.
We use high-quality products that nourish and protect your nails, resulting in beautiful, durable nails that our clients love. With longer-lasting nails, you’ll need fewer touch-ups, saving you time and supporting sustainability.
Let’s Talk Water Savings
Since opening in March 2024, Jungle Betty has performed 365 pedicures and 493 manicures without using a drop of water. This has resulted in saving approximately 3,349 liters of water just from filling the bowls. Additionally, our reduced cleaning needs have conserved an estimated 2,568 to 4,280 liters.
As of July 31, 2024 Jungle Betty has saved between 5,917 and 7,629 liters of water!
Using less water lowers the demand on local water supplies and reduces our carbon footprint by decreasing the energy needed for water heating and treatment. Waterless is the future, and Jungle Betty is thrilled to lead the way in eco-chic beauty.

Client Testimonials
Our clients’ experiences highlight the success of our services. Here are some testimonials:
“3 weeks and counting on this manicure! I’ve been going to Sasha for a few months and get regular manicures and occasional pedicures. Her attention to detail is spectacular on both express and magazine services. The express feels extra to a basic service you would get elsewhere. I get the magazine occasionally and find the gel lasts up to 2 weeks longer. Jungle Betty has made me a waterless convert and I won’t go back! For the salon, there’s lots of colors to choose from, it’s clean, great location, and the staff are friendly too.” — Steph S.
“Hands down—no pun intended—this is the most beautiful shellac I have ever had, period. They have so many colors, and I’m noticing it’s still long-lasting as if I just got it yesterday. I now have a new nail home. Thank you! I honestly was just looking at them today and thought they are really beautiful still after 2 weeks.” — Laura
